Children’s Privacy

Horizon Robotics does not intentionally or knowingly collect personal information from minors without proper consent from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe that we may have collected personal information from a minor without the requisite consent, please let us know using the methods described at Contact Us and we will investigate and promptly address the issue. For these purposes, we define a "minor" to mean an individual who is under the age of majority in the territory in which they are resident.

Security

Horizon Robotics is committed to maintaining the privacy and integrity of your personal information no matter where it is stored. We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will implement and maintain reasonable measures to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of the information transmitted through the Website or otherwise via the Internet; any transmission is at your own risk.

Transfer of Information to the U.S. and Other Countries

Horizon Robotics is a global company with its headquarters in Beijing. As such, we may transfer your personal information between US and China and to our affiliated companies in other countries. We may also transfer your personal information to our third party service providers, who may be located in a different country to you. We transfer information in order to operate efficiently, to improve performance, and to create redundancies in order to protect information in the event of an outage or other problem. We will process your personal information in a way that meets the commitments of this Privacy Policy and complies with the law wherever we transfer it. Whenever Horizon Robotics transfers personal information beyond the country of origin, we will do so in accordance with applicable laws.

California Privacy Rights and Additional Information

California Data Access and Deletion Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”)  allows you to make certain requests about your personal information (as defined in the CCPA). Specifically, the CCPA allows you to request that we:

  • Inform you about the categories of personal information we collect or disclose about you; the categories of sources of such information; the business or commercial purpose for collecting your personal information; and the categories of third-parties with whom we share/disclose personal information.
  • Provide access to and/or a copy of certain personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete certain personal information we have about you.
  • Provide you with information about the financial incentives that we offer to you, if any.

Verification: Depending on the sensitivity of the information you are requesting and the type of request you are making, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity based on the information that we currently possess. This may include, at a minimum, verifying your contact information and matching it with our records.

Authorized Agent: You are also permitted to designate an authorized agent to submit certain requests on your behalf.  In order for an authorized agent to be verified, you must provide the authorized agent with signed, written permission to make such requests or a power of attorney.  We may also follow up with you to verify your identity before processing the authorized agent’s request.

The CCPA further provides you with the right not to be discriminated against (as provided for by applicable law) for exercising your access or deletion rights.

California “Shine the Light” Disclosure

If you are a California resident you have the right to request information from Horizon Robotics regarding the manner in which we share certain categories of your personal information with third-parties, for the third-parties’ direct marketing purposes.
